Go Quietly Now was an amazing and deeply moving read. I never fully realized how important it is to have a voice that is heard until reading this book. The author shares her real-life experience of losing her voice due to a health condition with honesty and vulnerability, and it truly stayed with me. It made me profoundly grateful for my own health and for things we often take for granted.  A powerful, eye-opening story that I’m so glad I read.

This book is not only the heartfelt journey of one person’s medical diagnosis, it is also the journey of a soul. I have read it once and will read it again so that I can delve deeper into the author’s experience and savour the beauty of the prose.

“Go Quietly Now” is a profound memoir of a soulful and rewarding journey. It invites those who are ready to embrace a meaningful opportunity for self reflection and enlightenment. Corinne’s provoking journey, life altering challenges managed with courage and her persistent and dogged pursuit of information and facts undoubtedly fuel invaluable self reflection for readers. I am indulging daily in the Corinne’s thoughtful insights; “The quiet has taught me to release worry and needless mental preoccupation so that prayer moves from the intellect to the heart” As Corinne so gracefully expressed, “an enlightened spirit can never return to its naïvete” Thank you sharing your words and this extraordinary gift with the world; we grateful and proud.

This book grabbed my attention on page one and kept me intrigued and invested right to the last word. Corinne has bravely written to her intense personal journey with a ‘paralyzing’ physical ailment and her own ‘dark night of the soul’.
Corinne freely shares her frustration and challenges with the whole medical system as well as the hardships of everyday living with no voice.
Her deep introspective, from childhood innocence and church doctrines to present and the inner peace she has embraced is inspiring on very level.
In spite of the fears, the struggles, the isolation, the loneliness and all the life changes, Corinne has lived her journey with grace.

Go Quietly Now is a good read and it’s thought-provoking. But more than that, this is a Canadian-made autobiography about life. I can give it no higher praise than this: I would recommend this book by Canadian author Corinne Cowan to my kids. Challenge convention, ask questions. Push the confines of so-called conventional wisdom and institutions. Embrace your journey, be brave. And don’t ever forget, the obstacles we all face often toss us to the other side with gits – enlightenment, self-awareness or humility.
